202 SUPERB ENGLISH SILVER TROPHY CUP AND COVER LONDON 1930 , ED.BARNARD, NOT INSCRIBED

202. Very good looking piece of silver ! This English silver trophy cup and cover  is hallmarked for London 1930, the makers mark that of Edward Barnard & Sons  The height is 14" , the diameters, base, 4.6", cup top , 6.2" , handle width 10.1" . The weight is 1059 grams, 34.05 troy ounces.  Made to a very classical design , this cup is made of plain silver with just a decorative running band around the cup top. The handles have leaf cappings and flow down into leaf sheaths , which are fixed to the cup base. The gently sloping cover is topped by an impressive finial in the form of a lidded goblet.  Certainly displays well ! Not inscribed , plenty of room for any amount of inscriptions . It is , of course, in excellent condition.
