254 ANTIQUE ENGLISH SILVER GOBLET , LONDON 1872,NOT INSCRIBED.

Lovely antique silver goblet hallmarked for London 1872 , the makers mark not yet identified.The height is 7.75 inches, the diameters , base 3.15 inches, cup top 3.5 inches. The weight is 207 grams, 6.6 troy ounces .The front has a vacant cartouche formed by elegant sprays of foliar and floral designs , and the back  is decorated with  a graceful bouquet of ferns and other foliage . Just below the cup rim is a delicate running band of punched motifs.The base also has a lovely running band of foliar and other motifs.

The top rim has been folded in , which gives  support to the shape of the cup. There is no inscription to any part of this pleasing goblet. It is , of course, in excellent condition , and beautifully polished ready to go on display.
