353 Antique silver trophy cup and cover of great elegance. Outstanding piece.

This antique silver stemmed cup and cover is a tour de force of English early twentieth century design . Both cup and cover bear full hallmarks for London 1903 , with the makers marks of the celebrated Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company.Possibly designed by the celebrated Kate Harris.The overall height is 14 inches , the diameters , base 5.5 inches, cup top 8 inches , and the handle width is 12.1 inches. The  weight is 1676 grams, 53.89 troy ounces.This is very heavy for the size of the trophy , which you will appreciate once you lift it !

The elegant stem supports a shallow , shaped bowl with stylised leaf handles , the cover having an elongated flower bud finial. A beautiful , elegant piece of silverware in excellent condition, which will make a most positive contribution to any display.  There are no inscriptions to any part of this cup and cover.
